A profundidade, a altura e a forma dos espa\u00e7os determinam o alcance e a uniformidade da ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o natural. Quanto mais profundo for o espa\u00e7o, menor ser\u00e1 a ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o natural. Quanto mais alto for o p\u00e9-direito, maior ser\u00e1 a ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o natural. Quanto mais complexa for a forma do espa\u00e7o, mais dif\u00edcil ser\u00e1 prever o comportamento da luz natural.\u00a0 O tipo e a posi\u00e7\u00e3o das aberturas s\u00e3o fundamentais para controlar a entrada da luz natural nos espa\u00e7os internos.
